Setting Orders to SHIPPED



Once orders have been picked and packed, it is very important that these are marked as SHIPPED in our systems.

Why?

1\) Shipping emails are not sent to customers until the order is set to SHIPPED (this includes self collection orders - i.e. self collection orders must be set to SHIPPED once they are ready to be collected)

2\) The order in Netsuite is not marked as fulfilled until the orders is set to SHIPPED (and revenue from an order is not recognised in Netsuite until it is completely fulfilled)

How to set an order as shipped:

It is recommended that you set orders to "SHIPPED" as and when they are handed over to couriers (to avoid parcels being forgotten/lost)

When handing over a single parcel to couriers, you can:

\- Set the order to "Shipped" from within the packing page itself (once all items in the order are packed, a "Set to shipped" button will apppear)

\- Set the order to "Shipped" by clicking the relevant "Ship" link on the "Ready to Ship" page

When handing over multiple orders to couriers, you can:

When handing over multiple parcels at a a time to a courier, it is better to process these in bulk using the "Group" functionality.

\- on the "Ready to Ship" page, filter by the courier you are handing parcels over to

\- select the parcels

\- click "Add To Group". This will add all the parcels to a "Group" as shown in the "Ship Group" column (if an open Group exists, the parcels will be added to that group)

\- go into the Group by clicking on the Group number in the "Ship Group" column

\- make sure that each parcel (i.e. box) you intend to give the courier is present and correct. You can do this by scanning the barcode you previously printed on each box, or by clicking the box number. Once you have scanned all the boxes - i.e. you have made sure you are handing over all the parcels you intended to, a "Close Group" button will appear. Press this once you no longer wish to add any parcels to the group. Once a group is closed, you can then set the whole group to "Shipped" (a new button will appear to allow you to do this)
