Put Items on Sale (Mass Upload)

Go to Catalog -> Upload Promos

You can choose to upload discounts using the BBC Product ID or the Vendor Codes

If you are putting B\&G items on sale, you MUST use the BBC Product ID options

You will then be take to a screen that looks like above.  Download the example file by clicking “DOWNLOAD EXAMPLE”

For upload by BBC Product ID, the template looks like this:

1. Replace column A with the BBC Product IDs that you want to update
2. Replace column B with the Start Date of the discount (MUST BE in format “YYYY-MM-DD” or enter “0000-00-00” for no start date)
3. Replace column C with the End Date of the discount (MUST BE in format “YYYY-MM-DD” or enter “0000-00-00” for no end date)
4. Replace column D with the discount.  For example, enter “35” for a 35% discount

IMPORTANT!  Make sure that the file does not contain any empty rows as this will cause an error.  To make sure there are no empty row, select all rows below your data and delete

Once ready, select the country to which your discount applies from the dropdown and click “Choose File” to upload the excel file

The process is pretty much the same when uploading using vendor codes (the only difference being that

1. Column A in the spreadsheet must contain the vendor codes instead of BBC Product IDs
2. When uploading to the system, you need to select the vendor whose codes you are using

Please note:

adding discount information to an item that is already on sale will remove the old discount and replace it with your new discount
The update to Shopify with the discounted prices will only happen overnight when the overnight feed is run.  There is currently a project to make the update to Shopify real time, however, this is still work in progress (i.e. at the moment, if you update discounts in ops.babycentral.co today, the discount will only appear in Shopify tomorrow)
