Creating categories and subcategories

Recommended to create all the categories and their subcategories before adding any products into them

2. Go to Catalog > Manufacturer Categories
3. Under drop down Manufacturers, select the one you want to update, click submit
4. Click the + in top right
5. Input category name, and SEO Keyword (make sure it is relevant to the category name, e.g. brandname-category)
6. Input category name for all languages, no need to do the same for the SEO keyword
7. Go to Data at the top, if it is a subcategory, choose its parent category
8. Upload the icon for the category/subcategory under the section for small image (should be an image with a white background, png or jpeg)
9. Click Save

Adding products to the sub-categories

Only add products to sub-categories (not parent categories), if you cannot find a suitable sub-category, add a new one using instructions above

1. Go to Catalog > Products
2. Select in stock only under “in stock only”, search for the manufacturer under “manufacturer”, select without manufacturer only under “manufacturer categories”
3. (Optional) Under “product name” enter a keyword/product name (if you know what products you want to add to a category)
4. Click Filter
5. Select the items you want to move to a category (select top checkbox if you want to select all), click manufacturer categories (in yellow), choose the category to add the product(s) to, click Save
