How to Set Shopify Products to Live

When a product is uploaded, unless specified differently on the bulk upload file, it is set to draft. In order for the product to show in the Store, it needs to be published. This is also why a product is now showing on Klaviyo.

Please note that all product details including pricing should be checked prior to setting any products to live. When in doubt, reach out to MIS.

By following these steps, you will successfully publish products in Shopify and make them accessible for customers to browse and purchase on your online store.

1. Log in to your Shopify admin using your administrator credentials.
2. From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on "Products" located in the left-hand sidebar.
3. In the Products section, you will see a list of your existing products. Locate the product(s) you want to set to "live" and make it available for purchase.
4. Click on the product's title to open its details page.
5. On the product details page, scroll down to the "Visibility" section.
6. Under the Visibility section, there should be an option to set the product status. It is usually labeled as "Visibility" or "Online Store."
7. Check the box or toggle the option to make the product visible and set it to "live" on your online store. The exact wording and appearance may vary depending on your Shopify theme or customization.
8. Optionally, you can also set a specific publish date and time for the product to go live on your store if you want to schedule its availability in the future.
9. Once you have set the visibility or online store status to "live" for the product, scroll to the top or bottom of the page and click on the "Save" or "Save product" button to apply the changes.

By following these steps, you will set the selected product(s) to "live" in Shopify, making them available for customers to view and purchase on your online store.

If you encounter any difficulties or have specific questions about setting products to live in Shopify, it's recommended to consult MIS for further assistance.
