Rename a channel

Use the steps below to rename a channel. If you’d like to rename an archived channel, you’ll first need to [unarchive it](https://slack.com/help/articles/213185307-Archive-or-delete-a-channel#archive-or-unarchive-a-channel).

1. Open the channel you'd like to rename.
2. Click the channel name in the conversation header.\
  
3. Next to Channel name, click Edit.
4. Enter a new name, then click Save Changes.
